I hope you enjoy looking at my work. Every painting is unique and each one is very personal to me.

I am an Irish artist living and working in the English Lake District. I have exhibited widely both in the UK and Ireland, and my work has been collected world wide.

My art is impressionist in style, and my Irish background, together with the long history of Irish painting, has been a major influence on my development as an artist. I paint a wide variety of subjects, but perhaps it is the landscape, with its ever changing light and mood which holds the greatest attraction for me. I often paint en plein air, which allows the natural world to have a strong and direct influence on my work, as I try to capture the wildness, beauty, or the tranquility of nature and her seasons.
